英国将拨出资金研究提高印度应对动物疾病能力

Sir Mark alport, the GovernmentChief Scientific Adviser, has announced major funding

to protect livestock,during a visit to India. The research projects aim to tackle major livestock

diseases which threaten food security in the UK and globally.

£6.5M has been awarded by the UK'sBiotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Counci

l (BBSRC), with matchedfunding from India's Department of Biotechnology (DBT), for collaborative

research projects between universities and research institutes in bothcountries. It is the first international

call on animal health for DBT andcovers many important livestock species.

近日,英国政府首席科学顾问在访问印度期间宣布将会为印度的畜牧免疫防疫事业投入资金,该项目旨在提高对食品安全具有威胁性的动物疾病应对能力.

为了该项目,英国方面已经投入了650万英镑的资金,该项目将由英国生物科技以及免疫委员会和印度生物科技部门共同参与.
